Do you ever feel like you can’t take on one more challenge? Like life should give you a break……you’ve done your time? If so, we’ve got good news and “bad news” to share with you, that will hopefully shed new light on how you’re feeling.

Here’s the good news

Nowadays it seems like everyone is facing challenges. And the challenges seem to be different and more frequent than in previous generations.      You’re probably saying to yourself……..and this is supposed to be good news?! Well, the good news is that you’re not alone. And more good news is that although you may feel like it’s not going to end while you are in the middle of it, it does eventually come to an end. Everything does. Everything has a beginning, a middle and an end. The end may look different than you thought, but it has an end nonetheless.

The beginning usually takes you by surprise. The end is a celebration! But how do you get through the middle?

As simple as this sounds, the key is to always remember that there will be an end. I’m sure you can think back to times in your life when you were in the midst of a challenge and never thought it was going to end. You couldn’t see your way out and had absolutely no idea how you’d make it to the other side. But you did! And, that’s what you need to hold onto…..at all times. You need to have faith and know it WILL end and you WILL be okay.

Life is full of experiences, and this is just one of them.

Who knows why you’re having this experience, what you’re meant to learn, and what amazing opportunity might arise from it. And you likely won’t know until long after it’s passed. So, the only thing you can do to get through it is to hold on tight to the knowing that this too shall pass.

And while you’re waiting for it to pass…….

It is important to remember that we don’t know what tomorrow holds. Regardless of what is happening in our lives right now, it’s important to cherish what we do have while we have it. Everything is temporary. That means the challenge you are facing is temporary. And……..it also means that the beauty in your life is temporary as well. Nothing lasts forever.

So, when you’re in the middle of a problem or challenge, do your best to look around and see the beauty that you DO HAVE. It doesn’t take away from the challenge at hand, and it doesn’t solve your problem, but it will make you feel better in the moment. And if moment by moment, you focus on whatever good is in your life (as much as possible), then you will come out the other side having cherished what you have while you have it.

And, what some may consider as “bad” news (but not us!)……..

Once you’ve overcome your challenge, enjoy! But………if you think that means you are free and clear of more challenges in the future (you’ve done your time so to speak), we are sorry to say that you’re likely in for a surprise…….again. Life is a journey, full of experiences. And those experiences include challenges. Some are big, and some are small. But to think that these life experiences will stop is not realistic. This IS what life is.

Enjoy the journey, cherish what you have, see the beauty in each day (even if it’s simply the beauty of a tree, or the hot water coming out of your shower head) and have faith that everything will ultimately be okay. Because it will.

Why don’t we consider this bad news?

If we know that life is full of challenges and that’s the journey of life, then wishing away the challenges is wishing away life. In the end, everything will be okay. But we aren’t ready for the end! Therefore, we choose to be grateful for all of life’s experiences…….grateful that we are here to experience it!

So instead of wishing they would stop, we prefer to say “Bring it on life!!” Because if we have challenges, that means we are living! And no matter what, we have faith and know that we will find a way to overcome each and every challenge and come out thriving once again.

As John Lennon so beautifully said “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”
